Professional Polyurethane Waterproofing Membrane System
Bostik Dampfix PU is a high-performance, one-component, Class 3 polyurethane waterproofing membrane. Engineered for maximum elasticity, this bitumen-free system fully complies with AS/NZ 4858. It is specifically designed for wet area applications where the membrane is finished with tiling systems on un-bonded reinforced screeds (per AS3958.1).
Recommended Applications
Dampfix PU is a professional-grade 2-coat system suitable for primed porous and non-porous substrates including concrete, cement rendered masonry, FC sheeting, plasterboard, and structural plywood. Ideal use cases include:
- Internal wet area showers and bathrooms
- Kitchens, laundries, and toilet areas
- Residential and commercial waterproofing projects
Note: This system is not recommended for immersed areas such as swimming pools or spas.
The Bostik Dampfix PU Application System
To ensure a long-lasting, warranted finish, the system should be applied as follows:
- Primer: Bostik Moisture Seal for substrate preparation.
- Bond Breaker: Bostik Seal N Flex FC.
- Membrane: Two coats of Dampfix PU applied perpendicular to each other.
- Tile Preparation: Bostik Specialist Primer applied over the cured membrane.
- Adhesive & Grout: Asaflex two-part adhesive followed by Bostik Design Epoxy grout.
