Gripset E60 Water-Based Epoxy Moisture Barrier
Gripset E60 is a high-performance, water-based epoxy primer and protective coating designed to combat moisture penetration and rising damp. It is engineered for direct application over damp mineral-based surfaces and newly laid "green" concrete, providing a stable, compatible surface for membranes, adhesives, and other decorative finishes.
Key Applications
- Negative Side Moisture Barrier: Prevents moisture ingress in underground structures including basements, lift pits, and retaining walls.
- Damp Surface Primer: Acts as a protective primer over concrete and mineral surfaces containing residual dampness, preventing blistering or delamination of finished coatings.
- Rising Damp Protection: Seals wall and floor surfaces against rising damp and efflorescence before fixing vinyl, carpet, tiles, timber, or levelling compounds.
Product Specifications
- Suitable Substrates: Concrete, masonry, renders, screeds, concrete blocks, and aerated concrete.
- Coverage: 1 litre per 3m² for vapour blocking; 2 coats at 1 litre per 3m² for a full moisture barrier.
- Dry Times: Recoatable in 2-4 hours; ready for finishes in 24 hours; full cure achieved in 7 days.
- Color: Light Grey (wet); dries to a semi-gloss finish (matte when aged).
