ARDEX Sand is a premium 20kg bag of size-graded, kiln-dried sand engineered for consistency in floor levelling and preparation. This specialized sand provides a reliable mechanical bond and serves as a high-quality filler for repairing deep floor defects, creating ramps, and extending compound coverage.
Key Applications & Compatibility
- Priming with ARDEX WPM 300: Use as a priming sand to ensure a superior mechanical bond for subsequent levelling compounds. Apply to wet WPM 300 at a rate of 700g/m² and vacuum excess sand once the surface is dry.
- Filling with ARDEX A 45: Economically extend the coverage of ARDEX A 45 in non-critical deep repairs or ramp applications. Mix up to a maximum ratio of 1 part sand to 3 parts A 45 by volume.
Usage Note: Incorporating sand will change the flow and surface texture of compounds. For a perfectly smooth finish, a second application of un-sanded ARDEX compound may be required. Always conduct a trial area or contact ARDEX Technical Services to verify suitability for your specific project.
