Sika® Aktivator-205: High-Performance Adhesion Promoter
Sika® Aktivator-205 is a specialized pre-treatment cleaning agent designed to activate non-porous substrates, ensuring superior bond strength for adhesives and sealants.
Recommended Substrates:
- Metals: Aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel.
- Plastics: Various non-porous synthetic materials.
- Ceramics: Glazed ceramic surfaces.
- Painted Surfaces: High-quality powder coatings and paints.
Application Instructions
Wipe bond faces with a clean, lint-free paper towel moistened with Sika® Aktivator-205. Important: Change the paper towel after each wipe to prevent contamination. If the pre-treated area is not bonded within 2 hours, the activation process must be repeated (maximum of 2 times).
- Ideal Temperature: 15ºC to 25ºC for both application and surface.
- Storage Note: Tightly re-seal the container immediately after use. If the liquid becomes opaque or cloudy due to moisture exposure, it is inactive and must be discarded.
- Flash-off Times: May vary based on local climatic conditions.
